East Jackson Community Schools Partners with Albion College for Direct Admission

New partnership guarantees qualified seniors a clear path to Albion College admission.

Jackson—East Jackson Community Schools Superintendent Jeff Punches joined Albion College President Dr. Wayne P. Webster to sign a new partnership that guarantees admission to Albion College for seniors who meet eligibility requirements. The initiative simplifies the college application process and expands access for students who may have been hesitant to apply.

“This is a great opportunity for our kids,” said Jeff Punches, superintendent of East Jackson Community Schools.

"Albion College is proud to partner with East Jackson Community Schools on our new Direct Admit program to advance access and opportunity to our top-ranked college experience for local applicants," said President Webster.

Albion College’s Direct Admit program streamlines admission for students with a high school GPA of 2.9 or higher. Eligible students must graduate in the spring prior to enrolling at Albion in the fall as full-time, first-time college students.

Students interested in Albion College can learn more and submit the Direct Admit form at albion.edu/direct. Upon completion, they will receive conditional admission and a follow-up email with account set-up instructions.
